I was able to use the Windows SCRCPY software to control the S26 Ultra using an external monitor, keyboard and mouse. It's pretty cool. It does not require an account or connection to any other software or service. Its a little tricky setting up the phone (1) and (2) above.

On Monday Aug 31 2026 I went to Best Buy to replace my Galaxy Note20 5G
A visiting AT&T Agent with a nose ring took over from the Best Buy Phone Sales Lady. She sold me a new phone at full retail price and I'm not sure if the phone was factory unlocked as requested.
I think she did me dirty!
She put the expensive screen protector on perfectly in nanoseconds.
She but Sharon's phome in suspended status instead of deleting the service as requested.
I had to spend 30 minutes on Friday Sept 4 with the AT&T human chat to get rid of Sharon's line.
Regarding my chat on Friday: I spent 5 minutes yelling at the AT&T AI Agent to give me to a human. It didn't want to do it until I asked for the number for Verizon so that I could transfer my service. The AI Agent transfered me to customer loyalty retention human being. Even she suggested I keep the line as a backup or donate it to a friend or relative. I was not happy. She then said why dont you keep using it for a month since I already paid and they don't give refunds. I hate to repeat what I told her.
I got an email later from AT&T that said the new phone bill will change from $179/month to $113/month for 1 insured S26 Ultra 512GB phone and 1 insured Galaxy Ultra watch.

In progress. Installing 12 pin connectors. Shortly after the first one was finished a wire came loose from the crimped pin. I struggled 30 minutes with the pin extractor tool to remove the bad pin but it wouldn't budge. I cut all the remaining 11 wires to start over and threw the connector on the table and ofcourse the pin fell right out. Darn it!
