Darn it. I messed up!
My next door neighbor Gail and I were headed to Mandy's Birthday Party in Alvord. We made it to 161 and Rochelle Road cruising around 75 mph and then, "Wham!" the hood popped open. Gail was very impressive under pressure. I squealed like a little girl. I knew immediately what had happened. I had completely forgotten about the trickle charger and the block of wood used to keep the hood open.
They say a picture is worth a thousand curse words.
This is what happens when the hood flys open at 75 mph. It makes me very sad!
Drivers view of hood when the trickle charger is attached.
The hood is held open slightly for the charging cable.
The hood is held open by a block of wood.
The charger lives just under the car and is NOT visible to the driver.
The charging cable has a nice dust cap used when the charger is disconnected from the vehicle.
The block of wood.
This is what the charger looks like when you use the car but forget to disconnect it.
